How to refer a friend lol?

Refer a friend in League of Legends (lol) was an event that ended in 2015. It allowed players to invite their friends to the game and earn in game rewards such as skins for doing so. Unfortunately, the event is no longer active but you can still refer friends without getting any rewards. To do so, let your friend sign up as he would normally, and in the registration phase, he can put in your summoner name in the friend who referred you column!
I personally hope they're going to do an Refer a Friend again. That was great!
