How 2 Raum in Paladins?
Hello everyone. In this article I will explain the champion Raum from the game Paladins. Raum is the embodiment of raw, unfiltered chaos. He doesn’t play like a traditional frontline, and frankly, he doesn’t even try. Where other tanks rely on shields, crowd control, or zoning tools, Raum just walks directly into the enemy team with 7000 health and a flamethrower and dares them to try and stop him. His primary weapon, the Hellfire Gatling, revs up over time and does increasing damage the longer you fire it without overheating. That means Raum needs to commit to fights he’s not a poke-and-peel kind of champion. He pushes forward and keeps shooting until someone dies, preferably not him. His movement speed increases as his weapon ramps up, which allows him to chase or run down squishies in a way that’s terrifying if you’re not ready for it. He thrives on map control and zone denial. Once Raum gets in position and gets going, he becomes a snowball that’s extremely hard to stop without coordinated pressure or burst damage.

What makes Raum so frustrating to deal with isn’t just the health pool or damage it’s his sustain. His ability Soul Harvest lets him recover health instantly by absorbing the souls of defeated enemies or destroying deployed objects. In practice, this means that in messy teamfights, Raum becomes nearly unkillable if he gets a couple of kills or takes out a few deployables like turrets or totems. Soul Harvest can be combo’d with his massive health pool to turn him into a raid boss, especially when paired with a pocket healer. His other abilities support this aggressive, steamroller playstyle. Ignition is a charge that lets Raum slam forward and knock enemies back while dealing moderate damage. It’s not for repositioning or disengage it’s for diving into the backline or punishing enemies who are caught out. Then there’s Juggernaut, a long-distance charge that smashes through everything in its path, breaking shields and dealing heavy damage. It is one of the best tools in the game for breaking open a fight or disrupting the enemy setup. You don’t use it defensively.

Raum’s ultimate, Cataclysm, fits his whole kit perfectly. It summons a massive ground slam that damages enemies and applies knockback in a large area. It’s not the most complex ultimate mechanically, but it’s excellent for disrupting grouped-up teams, finishing off low-health enemies, or just initiating when you want to start a fight with chaos. For talents, Subservience turns him into a sustain monster by healing him every time a deployable is destroyed—which happens constantly in certain metas. Enforcer gives him flat damage reduction, making him even harder to take down in the middle of fights. And Crush gives his Juggernaut a root effect, making it a hard engage tool that can lock down targets for follow-up. Competitive players often lean toward Enforcer for its consistency, but Subservience can feel downright unfair in the right matchups. Raum excels on maps with tight corridors and short rotations like Fish Market or Jaguar Falls, where he can get into the enemy’s face quickly and stay there. While he may not have shields or crowd control, his ability to soak damage, dish out pressure, and live forever in the middle of chaos makes him a nightmare for teams without the tools to deal with a true raid boss. If you like the idea of being the biggest, loudest, and hardest-to-kill thing on the map, Raum is your kind of frontline. Thats it for this one. Thank you and have a good day.
