How to start as a trolldier?

In Team Fortress 2, almost every class has a sub-class. Sub-classes are formed when the way the class is played gets completely changed. The soldier also has a few subclasses. One of his subclasses is the trolldier. Just the name of this subclass says that it is a meme-tier subclass. This playstyle is also referred to as market-gardening. You can find these specimens called trolldiers on the Hightower map. I once adopted this playstyle myself. Today I will teach you all the things that I learned from my playtime as a trolldier. Trolldier is very fun, you just rocket jump around the map trolling your enemies with the market gardener. It is fun but it is also very hard. The market gardener is the only damage-dealing weapon in a trolldier's loadout. The market gardener may sound like something related to trading and other stuff but is the name of a melee weapon which is exclusive to the soldier. Playing as a trolldier is hard because you need to be very mobile all the time and you need to control your movement in the sky. Trolldier may not be hard to pick up but it is very hard to master. You shouldn't pick up this playstyle until you have around at least 100 hours into the game. After around 100 hours, you will develop enough gamesense to play as a trolldier. If you are starting early then you should play on the map Hightower. You are more likely to find other trolldier players on this map. If you find another trolldier player on your team then you can ask them for some tips. They may teach some in-depth details. As for now, I will teach the basics of trolldier, starting with the loadout.

There is only one loadout for a true trolldier. This loadout consists of the rocket jumper as the primary, Manthreads as the secondary, and the market gardener as the melee. The rocket jumper is only for mobility. The rocket jumper doesn't deal any damage to your enemies or you. The manthreads are for added manoeuvrability in the air. You can also deal with damage to your enemies with the manthreads if you directly land on them. Lastly, the market gardener is obviously for eliminating your enemies. Market gardener is the must-have in this loadout. I have given further information about the rocket jumper and the market gardener in the two pictures below the first and second paragraph respectively. While using this loadout you will lose 2/3rd of your damage-dealing weapons. This means that you will only have one weapon for most of your damage. If you are a new player, you will have a lot of problems getting used to this. Because of this, I have created a custom loadout for new players. My loadout only replaces the rocket jumper with the liberty launcher. You can also replace the manthreads with gunboats if you want. I like replacing them if the situation calls for it.

By playing this game you can get 100 Play

The other parts of the loadout remain the same. Why did I replace the rocket jumper? To answer this question let me compare these two weapons for you. The base damage of the liberty launcher is 68 damage. On the other hand, the base damage for the rocket jumper is 0. The rocket jumper deals 100% less damage from the blast while rocket jumping. The liberty launcher deals 25% less damage to you while you are rocket jumping. However, if you replace the manthreads with gunboats then you will get 75% damage resistance for less mobility control. I think that this is a fair trade. Deal more damage for just being a little bit more vulnerable and for sacrificing a little bit of mobility. I call my loadout the Hybrid Trolldier loadout. Now, talking about tips for a trolldier, I don't have much to say. This topic on its own deserves an article. For now, I will say that the more you play the better you will get. You can use console commands to practice alone on your servers. Use console commands to practice rocket jumping. Try practising with bots if you can. If you have already picked up some basics about trolldier then you should play casual matches. You will slowly develop gamesense and awareness. Also, try to crank up your FOV by a little bit. If your FOV is high then you will be able to see more things around you. FOV stands for field of view. As I told you just keep playing and you will get the hang of it. That's it for today, Thank you and have a great day.
