How 2 Barik in Paladins?

Hello everyone. In this article I will explain the champion Barik from the game Paladins. Barik is the original foundation of what most people think of when they hear the term "point tank." He is short, sturdy, heavily armored, and extremely annoying to dislodge once he gets set up. His main weapon, the Blunderbuss, is a short-range shotgun that deals decent burst damage at close range, but what makes him so effective is not his gunplay, it is the tools he brings to control space and hold objectives. Barik is all about setting up a base of operations, then letting his turrets, shield, and area denial do the work while he patrols the frontline. His turrets are surprisingly effective when ignored, providing consistent chip damage and occasionally cleaning up low-health enemies who forget they exist. Against flankers or damage dealers who try to dive into your backline, Barik’s setup can be deceptively punishing. He forces teams to either waste time and cooldowns removing him or find a way to bypass him entirely, which is not easy if you are playing him well.

One of Barik’s signature tools is his Barricade, a deployable shield that blocks damage from the front and is crucial to his survivability. While the shield does not move with him like Fernando’s, it recharges quickly and can be used tactically to cut off lines of sight or protect allies during critical moments. Good Barik players do not just throw it in the middle of a fight and forget it; they place it at angles where enemies have to reposition to shoot around it, or where it gives them cover while contesting an objective. His Rocket Boots ability gives him a short burst of mobility that is extremely important for repositioning, escaping danger, or rotating between lanes. It has a short cooldown and can often be used reactively, which helps Barik avoid the common pitfall of being a stationary target. In many matches, he is the tank that can survive the longest on point not because he is the toughest, but because he is the slipperiest and most self-sufficient. His similarity ot the engineer from Team Fortress 2 has been recognized further with a skin that looks similar to the Engineer.

Barik’s ultimate, Dome Shield, adds a layer of area control that can turn fights in your favor or force the enemy team to disengage completely. Dropping the Dome Shield places a massive turret that fires powerful blasts at enemies within range while creating a zone that is very risky to enter. It is especially strong when used to retake or stall objectives, and if combined with zoning abilities from your team, it can almost guarantee a won teamfight. In terms of talents, Tinkerin transforms his Blunderbuss into a long-range rifle that makes him more threatening at mid-range, while Fortify strengthens his shield and suits a more defensive, objective-focused playstyle. Architectonics buffs his turrets for a more turret-centric build that can be effective in the right comps. Competitive players love Barik on maps with strong point holds and multiple walls or corners, like Brightmarsh or Jaguar Falls. While he may not bring the flashy plays of champions like Azaan or Atlas, Barik remains one of the most reliable and team-friendly tanks in the game, especially when it comes to defending what matters most, the point. That wraps it up for this one. Thank you and have a great day.
