Welcome to the Shards of War forum! Here, you can discuss and find topics about the sci-fi MOBA.

Shards of War was a multiplayer online battle arena game from developer BigPoint. It had a sci-fi theme and featured incredibly fast combat. As such, players had to quickly adapt to the game and come up with elaborate strategies in order to come out victorious.

The premise of the game was fairly simple. Two teams of five players attempt to destroy the base of their opponents. It featured a variety of units that could assist players in combat, including drones, turrets, and warriors. Although this seems like typical MOBA fair, there was actually a lot about the game that was unique.

Perhaps the most notable feature of Shards of War was the pace at which games played out. There were no long lane-phases, and instead just straight up action and combat. Games lasted 20 minutes and you could quickly get one started.

The setting was also unique. Rather than a typical fantasy setting, Shards of War featured a dystopian sci-fi aesthetic. Huge guns and mechs were present, with a host of unique and interesting units.

Of course, there was much that’s familiar about this game. Teamwork was a key element. You’d have to work with your teammates in order to come out victorious. Communication and collaboration were vital. The game also featured versatile loadouts that you could customize to your heart’s content. This meant that you could pre-load your weapons and skills, giving you more time to fight.

Although the game has closed, there is still much to appreciate about this title. On the Shards of War forum, you can discuss all that was great about the title, as well as find other MOBA fans to play with.
